new post!

So it’s time to start up a new season! With 30” settled base on the Big, we are looking forward to a promising year. Its been a while since our last post so I am just gonna throw some photos up from recent months. Stay tuned for more info on upcoming events.

Some of our leaders just came back from the conference in Fernie, B.C.
It was inspiring, to say the least. We will post info from that soon, as well.

it's not nice to call people names

Accident prone or injury prone are names that have been recurring for me.

This weekend I tore a ligament in my right ankle. It is not as bad as it sounds. Six weeks and I am as good as new!

I told a friend at work and he said that it sounded bad. That reminds me of a parable I once heard about a farmer that had a son who broke his leg. All the people in the village said that was bad because it was harvest time and he couldn't work. He said it could be good or it could be bad, only God knows. The next day the soldiers came and took all of the sons away to fight in the war and they said it was good that he broke his leg. Once again the farmer said it could be good or bad, only God knows.

So goes all of our perceived problems.

Without Jesus this is a profound mystery!

Welcome to our new blog!

We finally got something on the net. Well kind of. Our other site is www.sfcwhitefish.org, and has been up for about a year. We thought that the blog would be a better format for all events and plans.

So far this year we have done:

-Feed the front line. This was a Christmas party for the Big Mountain staff. Most of them are from Chile and Brazil and God placed it on our hearts to invite them to a home cooked meal and games. It was our second annual party and it was awesome!

-Rock.Paper.Scissors tournament. Man this is a load of fun because you can't cheat and anyone can play. Bryce Meehan won and chose the ipod. He was pretty stoked because he broke his other one at the YETI snowskate competion earlier that day. God loves you Bryce!

We are going to be preparing hot dogs for the Nate Chute Classic on Friday and Saturday, March 13th and 14th. Come up and have a dog!
